Dr. Bilsky received a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Arizona in 1996, with a focus on opioids, pain and addiction. His laboratory conducted translational research funded through federal, state and private grants for over 20 years. He has published over 85 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and presents nationally and internationally. Dr. Bilsky engages diverse audiences including medical/health-professional students, K-12 schools and the public as part of education, outreach and advocacy. He is a 2019 Mayday fellow and received the 2011 American Osteopathic Association Research Mentor of the Year Award and 2014 Patient Advocacy Award from the American Academy of Pain Medicine. He currently serves as the Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Rocky Vista University and is a Professor or Neuroscience and Pharmacology.
