Dr. Bilsky received a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Arizona in 1996, with a focus on opioids, pain, and addiction. His laboratory conducted translational research funded through federal, state, and private grants for over 20 years. He has published over 85 peer-reviewed publications in leading journals and presents nationally and internationally. Dr. Bilsky engages diverse audiences, including medical/health-professional students, K-12 schools, and the public, as part of education, outreach, and advocacy. He is a 2019 Mayday fellow and received the 2011 American Osteopathic Association Research Mentor of the Year Award and the 2014 Patient Advocacy Award from the American Academy of Pain Medicine.
