Bio

Laura is a veterinarian with master’s degrees in Veterinary Sciences and completed graduate studies in Neurosciences, and she is currently a Ph.D. student in Health Sciences. Her research focuses on Alzheimer’s biomarkers. She is a professor at Universidad Continental, president of the Peru Chapter of the Society for Neuroscience (SfN), and president of the IEEE Peru Section Neuroscience Technical Committee. Additionally, she is the founder of Mentor Motiva, a mentorship and professional development platform. As a speaker and advocate for leadership, science, mentorship, diversity, and the empowerment of women in STEM, Laura drives educational and networking initiatives to strengthen the scientific community in Peru and Latin America. She also enjoys oil painting and Latin American music.
