Bio

I received my PhD in psychobiology/neuroscience from Florida State University in 1980. Following two postdoctoral training experiences at Northwestern University (Fred Turek) and University of Texas Austin (Claude Desjardins), I joined the faculty in the Department of Psychology and Neuroscience Program at Michigan State University in 1985. My current position at MSU is University Distinguished Professor and Associate Dean for Faculty Development in the College of Natural Science.
