Bio

ChiHye studied Biological Sciences and Korean Literature at Seoul National University (Seoul, South Korea) and obtained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, USA, under the supervision of Dr. Ege T. Kavalali. She then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Roberto Malinos's group at the University of California at San Diego for two years before returning to Korea to establish her own lab at Konkuk University. The Chung Lab investigates the synaptic and circuit basis of emotion and mental disorders, primarily employing electrophysiological techniques and behavioral analysis, complemented by a range of additional methodologies.
