Chinmayi is a first-year medical student involved in research related to brain injury, stroke, neurosurgery, global health, and cross-cultural neuroethics. Prior to medical school, Chinmayi studied medical humanities (BA) and neuro-epidemiology (MPH) at Columbia University in New York City, and was a Neuroscience & Society Fellow at the Dana Foundation. Chinmayi is the founder and CEO of
Simply Neuroscience, a global non-profit organization dedicated to expanding student involvement in neuroscience and psychology through interdisciplinary education, outreach, and awareness initiatives. For her outreach efforts, she has received the Daily Point of Light, Multiplying Good One in a Million, Diana Award, and Presidential Volunteer Service Award; Chinmayi was also named a We Are Family Foundation Global Teen Leader and Alzheimer's Association Neuroscience Next "One to Watch."
